About Us

FunQuest is a not-for-profit organisation for Western Downland’s young people. The activities we put on are designed to be fun, and at the same time stimulate their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. We listen to the children, and try to give them what want in a social context that will help them forge strong links with their peer group. We provide them with experiences that build their self esteem, make sure they respect other people, and value their surroundings.

How did it start?

FunQuest began with seven Trustees, volunteers from the community, in February 2008.  Our first major project was the development of West Park Meadow play trail.

FunQuest was the leading force in the funding, design, management and build of the Damerham West Park Meadow play trail.  The play trail is a public space with play equipment and space for kids to play in a safe environment. It is maintained by the Parish Council, free to use, open to everyone 365 days a year.

We had lots of input from local kids, parents, and Western Downland school. The Damerham play trail has been a great success and won Highly Commended in the Project category of the Community Partnerships Awards 2010.
